What's new?
Every change, newest first: what you notice in the app, on the site and in the schedule, then what changed for the services in their console.
1.8.0 19/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: place names read correctly in Cyrillic where an organisation spelled them.
For the services: the console
- A place's card says how sure its position is, and takes its Google ID and its name in Cyrillic. Each place shows its confidence and who checked it, and a place rated low is tagged and counted under Needs attention. A Google Maps link pasted into the Google ID field sets the place's entry and its pin, a name that reads wrong in Cyrillic can be spelled by hand, and every place of the organisation can be picked from a list.
1.7.1 19/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: places from earlier plans open on Google Maps with their name.
1.7.0 18/10/2026
- Directions open the place on Google Maps, with its name. Where Google knows the place at its pin, the map opens on it rather than on a pair of coordinates, one tap from directions.
- A foreign place name keeps its own letters in Cyrillic. The name of a shopping centre or a brand now reads as it is written, rather than spelled out in Cyrillic letters, and the rest of the name is still in Cyrillic.
- Smaller improvements: a version with no changes here steps back on the What's new page; a new version is found sooner.
For the services: the console
- The drives list has a Needs attention chip. It gathers every drive still to come that asks for an administrator: one without an exact place, one whose name may read wrong in Cyrillic, and one whose row the source rewrote after it was corrected, which now wears a Source changed tag. It replaces Needs a position.
- Smaller improvements: the overview shows Waiting for attention only when something waits; a new console version is found sooner.
1.6.0 18/10/2026
- Place names are written in the script you read in. With Cyrillic chosen, every municipality, venue and address is in Cyrillic, also where the source wrote it in Latin, here, on the website and on a shared drive's card; quotation marks in a name are always the plain " on both sides.
- Smaller improvements: places from earlier plans were checked one by one.
For the services: the console
- A drive whose place name may read wrong in Cyrillic is tagged "Name to check". Its page shows the name as the app writes it in Cyrillic, and saving the place with a name marks it checked. Names typed in Cyrillic are kept in Latin, like every place name.
1.5.0 18/10/2026
- The What's new page lists every release: what donors notice first, then what changed in the console for the services. The app's page also shows changes to the published schedule.
- Smaller improvements: what's new lists every version; every drive's search record has an end.
1.4.2 17/10/2026
- Directions to a drive go to its exact place where it has one, rather than to whichever place of that name the map finds first.
1.4.1 17/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: a drive of today shows its latest correction.
1.4.0 17/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: the panel a map pin opens is one card; the site's header links the places and the frequently asked questions.
For the services: the console
- Closed drives are kept: the Archived chip on the Drives screen shows one month at a time, with the drives the published schedule no longer has.
- A drive's place is one thing: its municipality, name and position are saved together for every drive held there, beside a small map, and the search offers the organisation's own places first. A drive's own correction is only about the day. Adding a drive uses the same card.
- An organisation's page opens with its figures: drives in the next seven days and by bus, permanent places, corrections and hand-added drives, and open reports.
- Smaller improvements: the Log links what it names.
1.3.1 16/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: a town's next drive in search results is one still to come.
1.3.0 16/10/2026
- A team with two places in one day is two drives. Where the Niš institute's plan lists two places for one team, each with its own hours, or a row with no team under a team's, each is now a drive of its own with its own hours, instead of one drive with the names run together or none at all.
- Smaller improvements: one red everywhere; a permanent place's card under Every day opens the place's page; a town's page in search results starts with the town and names its next drive.
For the services: the console
- Google search figures on the Usage screen. How often the site and the app came up in Google's results and were opened in the last 28 days, against the 28 before, the average position, and what people searched for, read every morning from Search Console.
- Smaller improvements: one red everywhere; on a phone, the search and the filters above every list take the whole line.
1.2.0 16/10/2026
- What to do before and after giving blood. A drive's page says how to get ready (sleep, a light meal, water, what to bring), with what to do after one tap away, and the same advice goes into the calendar entry, so the reminder the evening before has it.
- Can I donate? says why. Under each reason that stands in your way, one sentence explains it: why a tattoo means six months, why women wait longer between donations, why alcohol matters on the day.
- Frequently asked questions. A page of answers for a first donation: does it hurt, how long it takes, how fast the blood comes back, what to bring and the days off work.
- Smaller improvements: the example in a donation's Place field names no one service's address; the privacy notice names the button that starts the donation log; can I donate? writes the date you can give again as a date; can I donate? links to the site's frequently asked questions; stopping the donation log is its own red row under the log; in search results, a drive says who collects and that it is free.
1.1.1 16/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: colours are as they were before the accessibility pass; the app reads far less from the database to show the console's latest changes; the week ends with a link to the drives by place on the public site; the places on the landing page have more room.
1.1.0 15/10/2026
- The donation log can be stopped with one button. Stop keeping the log deletes every donation in it and the count of earlier ones and withdraws the consent, as simply as it was given; the log can be turned on again any time. Usage statistics are no longer called anonymous, since the statistics service keeps an identifier for the device.
- Smaller improvements: the drop on the Donations tab is drawn whole; the app and the public site load their typeface from themselves; the privacy notice says more exactly what is kept and why.
1.0.29 15/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: red words in the dark theme are the brand's red again.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: an account without a name shows its address in the name's place.
1.0.28 15/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: niš and Novi Sad each have one page for the whole city.
1.0.27 15/10/2026
- Drives with only an opening time, and drives at the blood service's own building, are no longer left out. The schedule reads rows such as "from 10h" and rows that name the service itself, and a note after a town's name stays with the drive instead of becoming part of the town.
1.0.26 15/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: new drives reach search results sooner.
1.0.25 15/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: the theme switch moves with the phone; every city has a page under By place, and the places with drives this week stand out; the theme switch moves with the device.
1.0.24 15/10/2026
- Screen readers announce each screen you move to, and red text reads better in the dark theme. Every screen now passes an accessibility check: the text in empty fields and the quiet notes are darker, and the map has a title for screen readers.
- Every town has its own page. Under By place, each town and municipality lists its blood drives for the next seven days and its permanent places, and when it has none this week, the nearest drives with how far they are.
- Smaller improvements: a drive's page names its place in the tab and in search results; the red tile on the landing page is easier to read in the dark theme; the site shows up better in search results.
For the services: the console
- Every control has a name for screen readers, and a skip link leads past the bar to the screen. Red text reads better in the dark theme, and screen readers announce each screen you move to.
1.0.23 14/10/2026
- A drive leaves the list once it has closed. A drive that ran until 13:00 is no longer shown from 13:00, on the week, the explore screen and the map, even with the app left open. A drive with no closing time stays until the end of its day.
- Signing out no longer clears the phone. Your blood type, gender, self-check answers, questionnaire details and planned donation stay on the device and are there when you sign in again. Deleting the account still removes them.
- Smaller improvements: the account also keeps the app's version and whether it is installed; signing in with Google names the app's own address instead of a Firebase one; a permanent place's name is a heading at the level of a day; the terms of use and the About page no longer carry the sentence about the project's relationship to the organisations whose schedules it shows.
For the services: the console
- The Users list and each person's page show the version of the app at their last visit, and whether it was installed. They fill in as people open the app after this release; until then they are empty.
- Smaller improvements: a drive is archived once it has closed; the overview's four figures open their lists; a person's page lists the reports they sent from the app.
1.0.22 12/10/2026
- You can sign in with an email address and a password, not only with Google. Make an account under New account on the sign-in screen and open the link we email you to confirm the address. A forgotten password is one link away, and Settings shows how your account signs in and lets you change the password.
- Smaller improvements: the sign-in screen and the privacy notice list exactly what an account keeps.
For the services: the console
- You can sign in to the console with an email address and a password, not only with Google. Use the address you were invited under: make an account under New account, confirm it with the link we email you, and you are in once your access is granted.
- Smaller improvements: the Users list says how each account signs in.
1.0.21 12/10/2026
- A new version is one tap away. The app looks for one every time it comes back on screen and every quarter of an hour, in the browser and installed alike, and says when one is ready: tap the notice at the top and it reloads into it. It never reloads by itself, and on a screen where you are typing, the questionnaire for one, the notice waits until you leave it.
- Can I? no longer picks men for you. Until you choose men or women, neither is selected and the longer wait, sixteen weeks, counts, as everywhere else in the app; the choice you make there holds on every screen.
1.0.20 12/10/2026
- Planning a donation follows your gender. The plan screen counted twelve weeks for anybody who had not chosen man or woman, so it could offer a drive four weeks too early; it now counts the sixteen weeks until you choose, and says so.
- Your data is backed up every night. A copy of the accounts and of everything kept with them, the donation log included, is made every night, encrypted so that only the project administrator can open it, and kept 90 days, so nothing is lost if the database is. A deleted account stays in those copies until they expire and is never restored from them; Privacy says so.
1.0.19 12/10/2026
- Your next donation goes into your calendar, with reminders. Under the bar that counts the days, Add a reminder to my calendar opens a page with the date and the reminders to switch on, a week, three days and the day before unless you pick otherwise, each at 9:00; then download it for any calendar that keeps reminders, or add it to Google Calendar, where you add the reminder yourself with Add notification before saving.
1.0.18 12/10/2026
- The fixed points can be picked for the questionnaire and Can I? Opened without a drive, both screens list the fixed points first, then the week's drives, so somebody going straight to an institute picks the institute and gets its form.
- Smaller improvements: the header stays put between pages; the site's pictures of the app are current, and the fixed points have one of their own.
1.0.17 12/10/2026
- A drive saved to your calendar reminds you. Three days before, the day before and an hour before it starts, in calendars that read the file's reminders.
- A report about a drive reaches the organisation running it. It went to the institute whichever organisation ran the drive.
- Earlier donations count in your total. Under your log, enter how many times you gave before it, instead of writing down every date: the number is added to your donations and the patients they could have helped, and it is suggested in the questionnaire. It is kept with the log, so only you can read it.
- Fixed points are back in the app. The places open every week went missing from the app the day after they were added; they are listed again under Fixed points.
- The fixed points lead the list. Every place open all week sits at the top of the week list, once, with its address, today's hours or the day it opens next, directions and its phone. Swipe through them; each says which of how many it is. Each opens its own page, from the list and from the map, with its whole week of hours, its organisation's blood reserves and its other drives this week.
- The next donation date follows your gender. Men can give again after twelve weeks and women after sixteen, but the app counted twelve for anybody who had not said. Choose it once in Settings, beside the blood type, or on the donations screen, which shows both dates until you do; it stays on the device.
- The questionnaire in English. The English app fills in and prints the institute's own English form, and either form can be picked where both exist; the answers carry over.
- The questions about today are answered one by one. How you feel, food and drink, medicines and illness in the last days have a Today step of their own in the questionnaire, and answering all yes or all no leaves them out.
- The report screen says who reads what you send. A mistake reported from a drive is also read by the organisation that runs it; anything sent from Settings, only by the project administrator.
- Smaller improvements: a day's drives are listed by the time they start; a fixed point on the map is drawn without a frame of its own; a suggestion in an empty field is fainter than typed text; every place's phone has its calling code; no word is left alone on a paragraph's last line; on a wide screen the map's card sits in its corner, as wide as a phone; several blood reserves are picked from one row you swipe; the data download button says Download; the map says a day is empty only when no fixed point is open either; the questionnaire's questions show without the form's numbers, sub-questions set in; the questionnaire suggests the number of earlier donations from your log; the record's two figures stay side by side on a phone.
For the services: the console
- A report's and a feedback entry's two columns scroll on their own. On a wide screen the page is the window's height: the conversation keeps its field at the foot with only the messages scrolling, the newest in view, and the facts beside it scroll separately.
- An organisation's administrators read only the reports about its drives. A report sent from Settings, about the app or a donor's own data, is read by superadmins only.
- The board counts fixed points on every day they are open. The next seven days' drives, by day, by organisation and by country, take in each fixed point once for every day it opens, and the count of drives says how many of them those are.
- Needs attention always shows four lines. Places with drives that have no position fill whatever reports and invitations leave free, the busiest place first, and a link under the list opens every drive without a position.
- A drive's fields and position are saved with one button. The position, the drive's state and its publication are cards of their own beside the fields, and Save the changes, under all of them, writes whatever changed; a place's address is saved with it as it always should have been.
- The console says when a newer one is out. An open console looks for one when it comes back on screen and once an hour, and a banner over the screen offers to load it; it never reloads by itself, so nothing being edited is lost.
- Smaller improvements: a day's drives are listed by the time they start, a drive without a time last; a report about no drive is counted as no organisation's; a suggestion in an empty field is fainter than typed text; the log says which drive was removed; the top bar never takes two lines; what's new shows one area at a time.
1.0.16 11/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: buttons are drawn in the app's typeface; "What's new?" asks its question; the about page says how to reach the project in one sentence; the note that the project is independent is on the about page; positions keep five decimals.
For the services: the console
- A drive whose day has gone is only under Archived. The other chips on the Drives screen, and their counts, are about drives still to come, so "Needs a position" no longer lists last week's places.
- Smaller improvements: feedback sits right after Reports in the console's menu; buttons are drawn in the console's typeface.
1.0.15 11/10/2026
- What's new on the site, linked from the foot of every page: what changed in the app and on the site, newest release first, in the page's language.
- Smaller improvements: what's new opens from under the version in Settings.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: what's new in the console narrows to one or more areas.
1.0.14 11/10/2026
- What's new, a page of its own, opened from Settings. The changes you would notice in the app, newest release first, in your language and script: the same sentences the release notes and the changelog carry.
- The map says which day a drive is on. With the whole week on the map, the card under a pin showed the place and the hours but not the day; it shows the day first now. The zoom buttons no longer sit on top of that card.
- Choosing a drive in "Can I give blood?" no longer pushes the questions to the bottom. The list of drives opens in their place, the same button closes it again, and once a drive is chosen the general guidance is one tap away.
- Deleting the account deletes what is on the phone as well, as the privacy notice says: the blood type, the self-check answers, the questionnaire details and the plan stayed in the browser's storage. Signing out removes them too. Only the language and the theme are kept.
- A drive opened from the list without an account opens inside the app, with the way back to the list, instead of the card meant for a shared link, which hid the app and started the list again from the top. Going back to a list now returns to where it was scrolled.
- A problem report says more about the device, so whoever answers it can see what you saw: the platform, whether it is a phone, the screen and the browser. Never the blood type, the questionnaire, the donation log or where you are.
- Smaller improvements: settings open on whose account it is; settings stops offering to install the app once it is installed.
For the services: the console
- The console's board counts the next seven days. It counted every row of the published file, days already gone and permanent places included, so a Sunday said 105 drives over a chart of nine. Every figure now counts today and the six days after it.
- The console's board opens on the donors. The first figure is how many donors have an account, with how many joined in the last seven days and how many opened the app, and the first chart shows them over eight weeks, those who were there before each week and those who joined in it.
- What's new in the console, from the account menu: every change on the platform, newest release first, each named by where it is seen, the app, the console, the site or the schedule.
- A report shows everything it carried, and who sent it. Beside the conversation, the console lists every fact the app sent about the device, not a chosen dozen, and the sender's account: name, address, role, since when and when last seen.
- Smaller improvements: the open reports count beside Reports arrives; feedback from the console says what device it came from.
1.0.13 05/10/2026
No changes donors would notice in this version.
For the services: the console
- The console's menu counts the open reports beside Reports, in the accent colour, in the bar and in the drawer on a phone, so nobody has to open the screen to learn whether something is waiting.
1.0.12 05/10/2026
- The next date you can give blood counts twelve weeks for men and sixteen for women, as the blood services publish it, instead of three and four calendar months, which came out six to eight days later.
- Date pickers start the week on Monday, in the app and the console, in every language. They started on Sunday because the date library did not know the app's languages.
- Smaller improvements: a problem report names a screen only when it is about a drive.
1.0.11 05/10/2026
No changes donors would notice in this version.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: the console's "Needs attention" line for a place without a position opens that place's first drive.
1.0.10 05/10/2026
- Starting the donation log is the thing to do on the screen. The agreement to keep it was a checkbox easy to miss inside the add form; until it is given, the screen now shows one card that says what the log is for and a button that agrees to it.
- A long donation log no longer pushes the form to the bottom. The form for the next donation comes first, and the log under it shows the newest five with a "Show all" button.
- Smaller improvements: organisation names in the donation log follow the script you read in; the donations screen no longer says to enter a donation to see when you can give again.
1.0.9 05/10/2026
- The app looks for a new version when it comes back on screen and once an hour while it is open, so an installed app no longer keeps an old version for days. Never while you are filling something in, and never offline.
- Smaller improvements: the site's pictures of the app are current again.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: the console's search for a position says what it is.
1.0.8 05/10/2026
- A drive keeps its day when its organisation's page moves on. A page that starts on the next day once a day has begun took that day's drives off the app, one of them still to come that evening; the publish now keeps today's drives in that case.
- Smaller improvements: a shared drive's page opens the app in the same tab.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: the console's account menu opens the public site.
1.0.7 05/10/2026
- "Near me" reaches 10, 20 or 50 km, as you pick. The distance is chosen under the filters and kept on the device, so it needs no account. It starts at 20 km, as before.
- Smaller improvements: the site's landing says that nothing has to be installed.
1.0.6 04/10/2026
No changes donors would notice in this version.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: the console's log keeps every entry on one line; the pin column in the console's list of drives sits before the place it is the pin of; the organisations list's last columns are narrower.
1.0.5 04/10/2026
No changes donors would notice in this version.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: a drive's tags come in one order; a country's row in the console's list of organisations runs to the table's edge again.
1.0.4 04/10/2026
No changes donors would notice in this version.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: "Permanent" in the console's list of drives wears its green tag again.
1.0.3 04/10/2026
- A shared link shows the brand's card, in the page's script: the drop and the name on red, under a link to the site, the app, a drive or the console.
- The schedule is published twice a day again. Neither the publish nor the usage figures had run on their timers since the repository moved; rewriting their timers made them run again.
- Smaller improvements: a publish says what it changed.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: "Permanent" is said in the date column of the console's list of drives; saving a correction to a drive returns to the console's list of drives; the console's log names who and what in words; the console's list of organisations says which publish their blood reserves.
1.0.2 04/10/2026
- Smaller improvements: times read "09:00 - 13:00", without an "h" after them.
1.0.1 03/10/2026
No changes donors would notice in this version.
For the services: the console
- Smaller improvements: a permanent place is as tall as a drive in the console's list of drives.
1.0.0 03/10/2026
- Where and when to give blood, in one place. The drives of every blood service that runs them, read from their own pages twice a day, and the permanent donation places with their opening hours: as a week, on a map, and "Near me" for what is close.
- The donor questionnaire, filled in ahead on the phone and ready to print, so the wait at the counter is shorter. The answers never leave the phone.
- "Can I give blood?" and a donation log. A quick self-check against the rules, and a log that says when you can give again, with that day in your calendar.
- Blood reserves, by blood group, read from the blood service's site or entered by the blood service.
- No account needed to read. Signing in with Google keeps the donation log and settings, and nothing more than the sign-in screen lists.
- Share a drive as a link that opens as a card, or report a mistake to the blood service that runs it.
For the services: the console
- The console for the blood services: correct or add a drive, place it on the map, enter the reserves and answer reports; every change reaches the app at once.
